The different types of lenses

Single-vision lenses

Single vision lenses correct a single visual defect (distance or near vision).

Lenses for distance vision
Single vision lenses correct myopia (-) or hyperopia (+) with or without correction for astigmatism. They offer a wide field of vision for your daily activities.

Lenses for near vision
These lenses are recommended for reading, particularly with the appearance of presbyopia from the age of 40. They are designed for a reading distance of around 40 cm.

Degressive lenses

Close-up lenses, also known as degressive lenses, are specifically designed to provide sharp vision for near tasks while offering a wide field of view at intermediate distances.

Perfect for screen work, reading, or manual activities, these lenses help reduce the eye strain commonly associated with traditional progressive lenses.

Tailored to meet these specific needs, proximity lenses significantly enhance visual comfort by improving the depth and breadth of the visual field.

Progressive lenses

Progressive lenses provide the perfect solution for seamless, clear vision at all distances, from near to far.

With our commitment to continuous training and cutting-edge equipment, we deliver the latest generation of lenses tailored to your unique needs. These custom-made lenses ensure quick adaptation and exceptional visual comfort.

As experts in advanced lens technology, we rely on industry-leading brands renowned for their quality and innovation.

Anti-fatigue lenses

Anti-fatigue lenses are specially designed for people who spend long hours in front of a screen or who are beginning to feel the first signs of presbyopia.

They are also ideal for people who read frequently or do precision work.

As well as correcting vision, these lenses relieve eye fatigue.

They can be worn on an occasional basis, when reading or working on a computer, for greater comfort in everyday life.

Anti-blue light lenses

We spend an average of 6 hours a day in front of screens: television, computer, tablet and telephone have become an integral part of our daily lives.

If you suffer from eyestrain, migraines or trouble falling asleep, it's vital to protect your eyes with anti-blue light glasses.

These glasses effectively filter the blue light emitted by screens, reducing the headaches, eye fatigue, dryness and tingling felt after a long day.

Myopia control lenses

Myopia, increasingly common among children, is a growing concern for parents and healthcare professionals.
Essilor offers a groundbreaking solution: Stellest® lenses, specifically designed to slow myopia progression.

Using advanced H.A.L.T. (Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target) technology, Stellest® incorporates 1,021 invisible microlenses that emit a signal to slow the eye’s elongation — the primary cause of worsening myopia.

Clinically proven, Stellest® can reduce myopia progression by up to 67% when worn for at least 12 hours a day.
