Privacy Statement

Article 1 - Purposes of processing

Cappelle Opticien collects and processes the personal data of customers for customer and order management (including customer administration, tracking orders/deliveries, invoicing, monitoring solvency, profiling, and sending marketing communications and personalized advertisements).

Article 2 - Legal basis for processing

Personal data is processed based on Article 6.1. (a) consent, (b) necessary for the performance of a contract, (c) necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, (f) necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests as an entrepreneur, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Insofar as the processing of personal data is based on Article 6.1. a) (consent), the customer always has the right to withdraw their consent.

Article 3 - Transfer to third parties

If required to achieve the aforementioned purposes, the customer's personal data will be shared with other companies (of the Optician group) within the European Economic Area that are linked directly or indirectly to Cappelle Opticien or with any other partner of Cappelle Opticien; Cappelle Opticien guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data.

Article 4 - Retention period

Personal data processed for customer management purposes will be stored for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (specifically in terms of accounting).

Article 5 - Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of personal data

The customer has the right to access their personal data at any time and can (have them) rectified if they are incorrect or incomplete, have them erased, restrict their processing, and object to the processing of personal data concerning them based on Article 6.1 (e) or (f), including profiling based on these provisions.
Furthermore, the customer has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) of their personal data and to have the personal data forwarded to another company. 

In order to exercise the aforementioned rights, the customer is requested to:
– adjust the settings of their customer account themselves; and/or 
– send an email to the following address: info@cappelleopticien.be.

Article 6 - Direct marketing

The customer has the right to object, free of charge, to any processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes.

Article 7 - Complaints

The customer has the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels – contact@apd-gba.be).

Article 8 - Use of cookies

Cookies may be placed on your computer's hard drive during a visit to the site. A cookie is a text file that a website's server places in your computer's or mobile device's browser as soon as you consult a website. Cookies can only identify a machine and are not used to identify individuals.
